Hi folks! I'm Jack Stevens, an electric bass player/music teacher/facilitator/journalist from the UK.

I was born and grew up in North London, and took up bass in my early teens. In 2002 I moved up to Liverpool to study a BA (Hons) in Music at Sir Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and I was fortunate enough to start working regularly as a professional musician whilst there. I currently live in East London and gig/work all over the World/country.

Skills

In addition to being a solid bassist I am a backing vocal monster and play acoustic guitar, keyboards/keyboard bass, program, produce and rap ('Silly Lily Allen'). I can't cook to save my life, but I can bust a few moves on the stgae. On a practical note, I read both lead sheets and notation. I even mime!!! I've just bought a trumpet. Wow!
